OtagoNet Community Involvement
OtagoNet has been a supporter of the communities we work in through various projects, particularly through lifesaving equipment.
In 2008, we donated a defibrillator to the Ranfurly community, a donation which has since been picked up across the PowerNet networks as a useful way to help other local groups and the public.
In 2013, we donated a Resusci Anne CPR & defibrillator, which will be used by a wide range of community groups.
The donation was made to the Waikouaiti fire brigade during the customer function at the Waikouaiti Events centre. The Resusci Anne is a full bodied adult CPR and defibrillator training manikin, which can also be used in training for first aid.
OtagoNet also helped with the development of Balclutha’s Cross Recreation Centre in 2011 and has had an on-going sponsorship of that community facility since.
