We have outstanding opportunities to join the PowerNet in the exciting and rewarding role of Distribution Line Mechanic. We have a number of vacancies across the whole network and have depots in Invercargill, Lumsden, Te Anau, Gore, Balclutha, Palmerston, Ranfurly and Queenstown.

As a Distribution Line Mechanic you will be part of a dynamic and forward thinking distribution team who safely build and maintain reliable electricity for our customers throughout the network. Working Monday to Friday and being available on a rostered on-call, you will form an integral part of our organisation.

Responsibilities/Skills & Experience

  • Provide Line maintenance, construction and line fault repair services
  • Install, replace and maintain overhead line equipment
  • Demonstrate good working relationships with other team members, customer and contractors
  • Qualified Line Mechanic with current EWRB registration
  • At least 2 years post registration experience
  • Current working knowledge of the industries safety regulations
