PowerNet offers electrical engineering scholarships to students studying towards an Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree and are in their first professional year.

The three-year scholarship covers course fees and provides vacation employment that satisfies the practical requirements of the degree course. Preference is given to applicants who spent much of their youth in Southland or Otago.

Applications come via direct notification to engineering students at the University of Canterbury.
