Board of Directors
The Power Company Ltd Board is made up of five Directors appointed by the Southland Electric Power Supply Consumer Trust.

Director’s responsibilities are governed by the company’s constitution and the Companies Act 1993. Directors’ roles include determining policies, preparing a Statement of Intent, Business Plan and Asset Management Plan, monitoring PowerNet’s performance, reporting to the shareholder (Southland Electric Power Supply Consumer Trust), publishing an Annual Report and ensuring PowerNet complies with legislation.

Doug is chair of The Power Company Ltd, a director on the boards of PowerNet Ltd and Lakeland Network Ltd, and a member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee. Doug has a wealth of Governance, regional and industry experience and has contributed to the Groups strategic direction and growth.
Duncan is a director on the boards of The Power Company Ltd and PowerNet Ltd, he is chair of OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee and Lakeland Network Ltd. He is also chair of the PowerNet Audit and Risk committee and a director on the Southern Generation GP Ltd Board.
Don is a director on the boards of PowerNet Ltd, The Power Company Ltd and Lakeland Network Ltd. He is also a member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee.
Wayne is a director on the boards of The Power Company Ltd and PowerNet Ltd, he has extensive industry knowledge through his experience leading an electricity network and related directorships.
Peter is a board director of The Power Company Ltd and deputy chair of PowerNet Ltd. His comprehensive understanding of balance sheets, trading performance, risk and how strategy and strategy implementation is vital for this industry.
Wayne joined the board of The Power Company Ltd in 2021. He has a background as an industrial electrician, with experience in industrial automation, asset management, lean manufacturing and de-carbonizing of business operations.
