Board of Directors

The Power Company Limited Board is made up of five Directors appointed by the Southland Electric Power Supply Consumer Trust.

The Power Company Ltd

Director’s responsibilities are governed by the company’s constitution and the Companies Act 1993. Directors’ roles include determining policies, preparing a Statement of Intent, Business Plan and Asset Management Plan, monitoring PowerNet’s performance, reporting to the shareholder (Southland Electric Power Supply Consumer Trust), publishing an Annual Report and ensuring PowerNet Limited complies with legislation.

Douglas Fraser
BSc (Chemistry) CFInstD

Doug is chair of The Power Company Ltd, a director of PowerNet Ltd, Electricity Southland Ltd and a governing committee member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture. Doug farms sheep and dairy cows on 595 hectares in Western Southland.

Duncan Fea

Duncan is a director of The Power Company and PowerNet Ltd., he chairs the OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee and Electricity Southland Ltd. Duncan is also a managing partner in Findex Queenstown, chartered accountants and business advisors.

Wayne Mackey
B.E.(Electrical) MIEEE

Wayne has been a director of The Power Company Ltd and PowerNet Ltd since 2017. Prior to this he was CEO of Network Tasman Ltd.

Wayne McCallum

Wayne joined the board of The Power Company Limited in September 2021. He has a background as an industrial electrician, with experience in industrial automation, asset management, lean manufacturing and de-carbonizing of business operations.

Peter Moynihan

Peter joined the board of The Power Company Ltd in 2017, he is also a director of PowerNet Ltd. He currently works as in independent director.

Donald Nicolson

Don joined the board of The Power Company Ltd in 2015. He is Chair of PowerNet Ltd, a Director of Electricity Southland Ltd, and a member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture Governing Committee.
