Lakeland Network

Lakeland Network’s Board is managed by the two shareholders, Electricity Invercargill Ltd and The Power Company Ltd.

Director responsibilities are governed by the company’s constitution and the Companies Act 1993. Their role includes determining policies, monitoring the network’s performance, reporting to the shareholders and ensuring LLN  complies with relevant legislation.

Peter Moynihan
Chair
BAgSc

Peter is chair of Lakeland Network Ltd, OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee, The Power Company Ltd and a director of PowerNet Ltd. His comprehensive understanding of balance sheets, trading performance, risk and how strategy and strategy implementation is vital for this industry.

James Carmichael
BE (Engineering) FEngNZ CMInstD

James is a director of Lakeland Network Limited and Deputy Chair of PowerNet and OtagoNet (appointments were made in February 2023). He is also a director of The Power Company Limited (appointed 2022). He has over 45 years of experience developing large infrastructural projects.

Rob Jamieson
MEng (Electrical), MBA

Rob is a director of Lakeland Network Ltd (previously known as Electricity Southland Ltd), chair of Electricity Invercargill Ltd and member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee, his experience covers electricity distribution and contracting as well as energy retailing and electricity generation.

Wayne Mackey
B.E (Electrical) MIEEE

Wayne is a director on the boards of Lakeland Network Ltd, OtagoNet governing committee, PowerNet Ltd and The Power Company Ltd, he has extensive industry knowledge through his experience leading an electricity network and related directorships.
