PowerNet's Board of Directors

There are currently seven Directors on the PowerNet Board. This is comprised of directors from the shareholding boards.  Five Directors are appointed by The Power Company Limited and two are appointed by Electricity Invercargill Limited. The Chair and Deputy Chair are appointed on a three-year rotational basis, alternating between each shareholder.

Robert (Bob) Taylor
Chair
BE Hons (Electrical), REA

Bob joined the PowerNet board in November 2020. He has been appointed to PowerNet’s Health, Safety and Environment committee.

Peter Moynihan
Deputy Chair
B.AgSc

Peter joined the board of PowerNet in 2019, he is also a director of The Power Company Ltd. Peter brings experience as a director in the Agribusiness sector.

Duncan Fea
BCom FCA CFInstD

Duncan joined the PowerNet board in 2011. He is a director of The Power Company and chair of Electricity Southland and OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee.

Douglas Fraser
BSc (Chemistry) CFInstD

Doug farms sheep and dairy cows on 595 hectares in Western Southland. He is chair of The Power Company Ltd, a director of Electricity Southland Ltd and a member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee.

Paul Kiesanowski
BCom FCA CMInstD

Paul joined the board of PowerNet Ltd in 2019, he is also a director of Electricity Invercargill Ltd, he is a former partner of KPMG.

Wayne Mackey
B.E (Electrical) MIEEE

Wayne joined the PowerNet Ltd board in 2017 and is a director of The Power Company Ltd, prior to this he was CEO of Network Tasman Ltd.

Donald Nicolson

Don joined the PowerNet Ltd board in 2015, he is the current chair and is a director of The Power Company and Electricity Southland Ltd. Don is also a governing committee member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture.
