PowerNet's Board of Directors

Bob is the chair of the PowerNet Ltd Board and is a director on the PowerNet’s Health, Safety and Environment committee. He has a wealth of experience across the electricity supply industry.

James is the deputy chair of PowerNet Ltd and a director on the board of The Power Company Limited, he has over 45 years’ experience in the development of large infrastructural projects.

Peter is a director of PowerNet Ltd and chair of The Power Company Ltd, Lakeland Network Ltd and a member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee. His comprehensive understanding of balance sheets, trading performance, risk and how strategy and strategy implementation is vital for this industry.

Paul is a director on the PowerNet Ltd Board, he brings strong financial management skills, risk management and assurance.

Wayne is a director on the boards of PowerNet Ltd, The Power Company Ltd, Lakeland Network Ltd and a member of the OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee. He has extensive industry knowledge through his experience leading an electricity network and related directorships.

Karen is a director on the boards of PowerNet (appointed February 2023) and The Power Company Ltd, she is also a current director of the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority. Karen has had 28 years’ experience in governance in the Electricity Industry and in 2014 was awarded the Queens Service Medal for her services to the Industry.

Murray commenced as a director of PowerNet Ltd in November 2022. He brings over 15 years’ experience from operating in senior management roles in the export orientated wood manufacturing industries in Southland. He has extensive commercial experience in international markets. He is also a director on The Power Company Ltd board.
