About LLN

Lakeland Network (formerly known as Electricity Southland Ltd) was formed as a joint venture by The Power Company Limited and Electricity Invercargill Limited to own electricity network assets.

Lakeland Network (LLN) contracts PowerNet to manage its Lakeland network assets at Frankton, Wanaka and Cromwell in Central Otago.

The LLN assets comprise approximately 122 km of cables and 76 distribution transformers with a distribution capacity of 30.26 MVA. There are over 3000 customers connected to the network, but this number is growing all the time as LLN reticulates new subdivisions and commercial developments, including Shotover Country, Lakes Edge, Remarkables Park, Shotover Park, Bridesdale Farm, Hanley’s Farm and Northlake and Hukiwai in Wanaka and the Wooing Tree subdivision in Cromwell.
