Current and Planned Outages

Planned Outages

Need to report a fault? Call our Customer Call Centre on 0800 808 587.

Power could be restored at any time during the course of all outages, so please treat all electricity equipment and power lines as live at all times.

Check if you have an upcoming outage

If an outage is planned in your area, your electricity retailer will let you know in advance so you can plan ahead and make arrangements. If you are unsure if this planned outage affects you, please enter in your Installation Control Point number (ICP) in the search bar below. Your ICP can be found on the power account you receive from your retailer. Alternatively, you can enter the outage reference number which can be found on the notification letter sent to you by the retailer.

Unplanned outages

Unplanned outages shown on our map are highlighted when we’ve identified a key part of our network being impacted (like a substation or feeder).
If you can’t see your area on the map, this could be for several reasons:

  • The outage only affects a small number of customers
  • The outage only affects a small part of our network or small piece of infrastructure
  • We’re not sure which part of the network an outage affects yet
  • We don’t know about the outage yet!

If you’re unsure of whether PowerNet knows about your outage, please call us on 0800 808 587.

Please be aware that restoration times for outages are estimates.
