Peter Heenan

Peter is part of the senior leadership team of the privately owned transport company, HWR (as the executive director of finance) and holds several governance roles for the group. He is also a director on the Great South Board, Space Operations NZ Ltd, and a trustee of the Southland Hospice.

Peter joined the Electricity Invercargill Ltd board as a director in January 2024.

Peter is a chartered fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. He is also a chartered member of the Institute of Directors.

His business background means Peter brings a wealth of financial expertise to the board, with robust capability in the assessment of opportunities to support business development and growth.
