Peter Moynihan

After completing his Lincoln degree Peter embarked on a 33 year banking career where he was running Westpac’s South Island Agribusiness team managing over $5 billion of lending. Peter left banking in June 2021. Peter has interests in 3 Central Southland Dairy Farming businesses, milking around 1900 cows.

Peter is the chair of OtagoNet Joint Venture governing committee, and chair of the boards The Power Company Ltd (previously a director from September 2017),  Lakeland Network Ltd (appointed 15 February 2023). He is chair of the PowerNet Health, Safety and Environment committee. He is a director of PowerNet Ltd (from November 2019) and was previously the deputy chair of PowerNet Ltd (appointed January 2022, retiring February 2023).

He is also a member of the Institute of Directors.

Peter’s comprehensive understanding of balance sheets, trading performance, risk and how strategy and strategy implementation is vital for this industry.
