PowerNet manage the electricity network for the Queenstown-Lakes based Lakeland Network. We are undertaking investigative works and installing a High Voltage (HV) cable as part of our HV reticulation programme along the Frankton Road to ensure we continue deliver safe, efficient and reliable power to our communities.

This will take place from the BP roundabout to just past Potters Hill Road.

NOTE: Your power supply will NOT be disconnected during this work.

Our PowerNet team and contractors will start this project on Sunday 18 September.  The scheduled work will run 9pm to 6am each Sunday through to Thursday for 7-21 days.

We are conscious this is a high traffic-flow road therefore the work is being completed at night with a Traffic Management Plan in place. One lane will be open at all times, but traffic delays are expected. Our contractors will be using plant and equipment to complete this work which will cause some noise. We thank you for your patience and understanding and apologise for any disruption this may cause.

We will give you regular updates on how the project is going through our social media channels.
